Re-recording of 1997 full length Under the Sign of Hell.

Some pressings feature “The Devil Is Calling” twice, with the second inclusion existing as a “hidden” ninth track.

Despite appearing on the CD face, “Postludium” is not included on this release. The CD face is also erroneously titled Under the Sign of Hell, omitting the year suffix.

Under the Sign of Hell was released on 20 October 1997 on Malicious Records.[4] It was re-released in 1999 on Century Black, and again in 2005 on Season of Mist. Agonia Records released the album on LP in 2005, limited to 1000 copies, and Back on Black Records reissued the LP again in 2006. A remastered version was released in 2007 by Regain Records.

Gorgoroth re-recorded the album as Under the Sign of Hell 2011, released in November 2011 by Regain Records.[5] This re-recorded version was the last album with vocalist Pest.

After making a pact with the Devil in 1992, Infernus founded Gorgoroth, an early Norwegian black metal band. Gorgoroth has released albums on labels such as Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Season of Mist, Malicious Records and Regain Records, and has toured extensively abroad. The line-up has been subject to several changes, with Infernus being the only remaining original member. After Gorgoroth’s controversial gig in Poland in February 2004, massive media attention led to an increase in both notoriety and record sales for the already infamous band. The band’s latest album, “Instinctus Bestialis”, was released in 2015 on Soulseller Records.
